The benefits of good shampoo

The combination of ingredients available in the market in the formulation of a shampoo can and are as diverse and unique as the individuals using them with fine, thick, oily, normal, dry, coarse or treated hair types and differences in the desired end result, it is important to find a product well suited for your individual wants and needs when caring for your beautiful hair.The surfactant, or more likely the blend of surfactants that are used in a shampoo need to be good at cleansing and caring for the hair and scalp, but unfortunately, a very good cleansing surfactant may also be too irritating for some people as well as causing the removal of too much sebum, which only results in excess drying of the scalp and hair. A shampoo with the perfect level cleansing and little irritation is the ideal balance that formulators are striving to achieve.
Here at Beauty Favours we have used a blend of Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate, Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate and Coco glucoside and Glyceryl Oleate in all of our shampoo bars in order to help find that ideal spot between great foaming and cleansing ability while maintaining mildness.
The Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate that we have sourced for our bars is a natural surfactant derived from coconut. It has great cleansing and foaming ability but with extreme mildness. The added benefit of this ingredient is that it is known for giving hair a soft and silky after-feel.
Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate is a sulfate free and extremely mild surfactant which produces a rich and creamy lather.
Coco Glucoside and Glyceryl Oleate helps to care for the hair by supporting moisturisation and improving the wet compatibility of the hair. It is an ingredient aimed at sensitive skin types and also aids the lathering of the product. Skin also becomes softened and conditioned with the deposition of glyceryl Oleate on its surface.
